SOS Psychological Services was developed by Dr Hayley O'Sullivan, a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist, with longstanding experience of supporting individuals, families, teams and organisations. We are able to provide a wide range of services to individuals, families, organisations, solicitors, local authorities and legal representatives. We are based in the North East of England but can work remotely across the UK.
SOS Psychological Services was founded by Dr Hayley O’Sullivan, a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience providing psychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic support to individuals, families, teams and organisations.
Hayley has longstanding experience of working across the lifespan with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. She is committed to offering high quality, collaborative and person centred care, tailoring support to each individual’s unique experiences and goals.
Her practice is grounded in up-to-date training, clinical research and ongoing professional development. Hayley is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, HCPC, and holds an enhanced DBS check and full professional indemnity insurance.
In addition she has completed relevant expert witness training with Bond Solon.
Psychological Assessment
Collaborative psychological assessments, that include assessment, formulation and the development of a holistic intervention plan can support recovery, help to determine a treatment pathway and facilitate person centred care planning.
Assessments can be tailored to individual need, however will predominantly be a collaboration of standardised measures, clinical interviews (involving the wider system) and evidenced based practice/guidelines. All of which aim to provide a greater understanding of an individual, in context of their early life and current circumstances, with the aim of working together to deliver and provide what they need and deserve.
Evidenced Based Psychological Therapy
At SOS Psychological Services we are trained and have experience in a wide range of therapeutic models. An initial appointment can help to determine which therapeutic approach would be most suitable and therapy will always be tailored to individual need.

Supervision and Consultancy
SOS Psychological Services offer high quality bespoke packages of supervision and consultancy to meet individual, team and/or organisational need.
We have extensive knowledge and experience in reflective practice support sessions, tailored consultancy for a specific need (i.e. safeguarding, risk), post incident support for individuals and teams and high quality clinical supervision on an individual basis and within a group setting.
Training
We offer high quality generic and bespoke training packages for a wide range of topics and can tailor packages to meet specific organisational requirements.
